A 113 / B 179, Schönefeld With regard to the airport Berlin Brandenburg International a traffic concept for the extension of the road network in the area Berlin-Schönefeld was developed which included two stages. The first stage intended the four-lane extension of the national roads B96a (old) and B179 with connection to the airport via two nodal points. Content of the second stage was the connection of the national motorway A 113 new to the B 96 and B 179.
