The project Fixed Warnow Crossing in Rostock is the first road construction project privately financed and licensed under the Law of Private Financing of National Road Construction (FstrPrivG) in Germany. A road tunnel approx. 800 metres long connects the east and west bank of the Warnow river in the Hanseatic city of Rostock. For the use of this tunnel, a toll is charged by a private investor and operator, the Warnow Crossing Company (WQG).
