High-rise “Federation” building complex

The high-rise "Federation" building complex is located in the “Moscow City” area, a district for which special economic development conditions were created by resolutions passed by the Moscow Government. Among other things, it enables properties to be sold to private owners. A masterplan exists for “Moscow City” based on an international architecture competition. Apart from the "Federation" complex, the site will also be home to the 500m high Russia Tower (SOM Architects) and the Duma. The heart of the city is already under construction with an underground railway connection, shop and leisure facilities as well as multi-storey car parks.

Structural system:
Reinforced concrete core with outriggers and supporting storeys made from steel, composite steel columns, flat ceilings, piled foundations, 90 storeys, total height 350m.
