The corporation Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide intends the extension of the existing airport Frankfurt Main for increasing the capacity.
In 2001, a regional planning procedure had been begun which was finished with the delivery of the assessment of the regional planning experts in June 2002.
Since the beginning of 2001, the planning brief for the landing runway variant xNorthwestx assessed as compatible with the region is prepared.
After the delivery of the planning assessment decision by the Hessian Ministry of Economy, Traffic and Regional Development, the construction measurements will be realised.
