Schüßler-Plan at the STUVA-meeting 2007
The Research Association for Underground Traffic Facilities (STUVA) has invited again to the STUVA-meeting. It will take place from the 27th to the 29th of November 2007 at the Congress Centre in Cologne.
Schüßler-Plan will be present again besides many partners, and can be found in hall 2.2, stand 600.
We would be very happy to welcome you and to present to you the new projects of our company or those we are involved in.

Movement of the Al Mak Nimir Bridge in Sudan
"And it does move ..."
Just to remind:
The total length of the bridge construction amounts to 650 metres plus ramps. The foundation work in the Blue Nile was started in January 2006 and could be completed in August 2006. The bridge is erected by the Turkish company Yapi Merkezi which has put in charge the company Önermark for the steel construction and the German company FAM Engineering (Markovski) for the movement.
Schüßler-Plan realised the design planning and parts of the realisation planning and at the moment contributes to the construction control and contract management. Despite unfavourable circumstances, the construction work proceeds efficiently, even for German standards.

InnoTrans 2006
International Fair of Traffic Engineering, Berlin
After four very successful days, the most important international trade fair of rail traffic engineering InnoTrans ended on September 22 in Berlin. Again, Schüßler-Plan participated with an own exhibition stand. We had good reasons to present ourselves at this forum because for many years now, we have realised challenging and complex rail projects. Our stand met with great interest by planners and customers. Many of them used the chance to talk to our experts and to exchange experiences as well as to meet again colleagues.
A publication with the title “References in railway construction” completed our offer to the visitors. To sum it up, we can agree with the positive atmosphere at the InnoTrans: Once more, the InnoTrans has met, even surpassed all expectations. We had a lot of interesting, substantial conversations. We are very happy about the many highly-qualified visitors and the new contacts. For us, it is important to be present at the InnoTrans and we had some very successful days. We are already looking forward to the InnoTrans 2008.
The InnoTrans 2008 will take place from September 23 – 26, 2008 at the Berlin Fairgrounds.

Roads and Traffic 2006
German Congress of Road and Traffic Engineering, Karlsruhe
The German Road and Traffic Congress is traditionally held every two years by the Research Association for Road and Traffic Engineering. Schüßler-Plan was present with an exhibition stand.
The presentation of our company met with only positive response by the visitors. With its excellent presentation, Schüßler-Plan left a lasting impression among the experts. With the visit of our stand by the Head of the Road Construction Department at the Federal Ministry of Traffic, Construction and Urban Development, Mister Hahn, our enterprise was acknowledged respectively.
This year, we could present extensively our experiences with Public Private Partnership in particular. In conservations with experts and specialists we got the reassurance for our objective to open ourselves towards new markets and new perspective business fields.
PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE, Hanover
European Conference and Exhibition for Infrastructure Projects
“The première of the PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE 2006 has surpassed our expectations by far. Congress, exhibition and cooperation exchange caused an atmosphere of awakening which will outlive this event for long”, Sepp D. Heckmann, Director of the Management of the Deutsche Messe AG, Hanover, was happy to express.
It was the aim of the PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE 2006 to bring together experts and to support the exchange between the decision makers of the public authorities and responsible persons of the economy. These expectations were come up to by this event to full extent. This was also confirmed by the patron of the congress, Wolfgang Tiefensee, Federal Minister of Traffic, Construction and Urban Development.
The PPP-/ÖPP – traffic infrastructure projects of Schüßler-Plan
Schüßler-Plan offers solutions in all fields of construction engineering, including counselling services as to the development, structuring and realisation of PPP-/ÖPP – projects. At our exhibition stand, we presented some of our reference projects, among others the so-called A-projects which are in preparation and contract letting at the moment.

Renault Traffic Design Award
Prize presentation 2005 in Berlin
With the presentation of the Renault Traffic Design Award, Renault Germany has been promoting the changes in German traffic architecture for six years. The significance of this competition and its reputation among architects, engineers and universities is visible in the numerous entries and their high architectural level. In the category “Special Prize Communities”, the Living Bridge, a pedestrian bridge across the Düsseldorf trade harbour, has been awarded a prize to.

Again this year, the information stand of Schüßler-Plan presented itself outstandingly and unmistakably at a central position. Besides the interested expert visitors, many originators and entrepreneurs could be welcomed. The stand was highly frequented and invited for interesting conversations. A “Tunnel Brochure” complemented the exhibition. It contains summarized presentations of several projects on tunnel construction and has a size of 32 pages.

Geothermics increase road safety
Time and again, ice and snow on the roads cause traffic impediments, traffic jams and accidents. Enormous financial means have to be provided for the accessibility of the road network. In the year 2003, 259 people died on the roads in Germany. Icy and snowy roads are very often the reason for it. Geothermics (the temperature of the earth’s interior) offer chances for increasing the road safety. At the request of the Ministry of Traffic, Energy and Land Planning of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, a study was carried out on this by an engineering team in which Schüßler-Plan is represented.
