West Port Frankfurt/Main
Due to the declining significance of the West Port as a place of transhipment of goods, the city of Frankfurt/Main defined guidelines of city planning for the development of the West Port and the adjacent district.
In an area of approx. 124,000 m² on the land and approx. 48,000 m² on the water, a new city district with a space of approx. 220,000 m² for new constructions is being developed. For this purpose, the area of the West Port is redesigned for the construction of attractive housing, commercial utilization of higher standards and the infrastructure necessary for it.
